Our newest blog is going to cover the topic of training variety over a few different blogs. Variety in training is important for some people and it also helps your body adapt to different forms of training and can lead to quicker results or help break through a plateau you may have experienced.
One way to vary training is to use different equipment, such as a Suspension Trainer, or commonly known as a TRX band (this is just the brand name)
With a suspension trainer, you can pretty much train anywhere that you have something solid you can wrap it around such as a tree or patio. There are many exercises that can be performed with a suspension trainer, you utilise your body weight as the resistance and you can make it harder or easier depending on where you place your body.
Another really good thing about using a suspension trainer is that your abdominals get a workout as well, they have to contract to keep your body straight while you perform these exercises to help keep your back in alignment. When you study your cert 3 and 4 in fitness course such as the one we have at Inspire Success Academy of Fitness, you may learn some exercises and pointers for this piece of equipment so that when you do become a Personal Trainer, you have more tools in your tool kit to help your clients to achieving their goals they are after.
