Although it is popular to load up the body with protein, there are a few points that need to be made about this.
There are risks..
1. Some proteins are high in saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol which may lead to heart problems.
2. Protein contains little fibre compared to carbohydrates resulting in constipation ( so if you want to be a REGULAR kind of guy, not a good idea!)
3. You may also put the body into what’s known as ketosis which means massive dehydration, may result in a loss in muscle mass and bone calcium loss. Looks good on the scales, but as i’ve said many times , is this the health and fitness industry or the weight loss industry?
