Squats and Muscle building

Squats are one of the most effective exercises that build muscle in a functional manner. Squatting is a natural movement that is done on an everyday occurance so it makes sense to replicate this movement with weights.

Technique is very important, so ask your trainer or email us for advice on how to perform the exercise correctly.

 

  • Squats work your quads, glutes, abs and back,
  • Squats give your hips flexibility (providing you stretch afterwards).
  • You will need to increase the weight to gain maximum results.
  • Squats will also offer knee stability and improve your balance, control and overall posture.
  • This is a fantastic exercise that should be included in your strength training program.
